DESCRIPTION:
Position: Junior Mining Engineer
Areas of Responsibility: As assigned by supervisor
Reports To: MINES MANAGER
Specific Knowledge: Minimum of (3) three years of hands-on experience in the cement or surface mining industry.
Due Date: 11/12/2024 12:00 AM
Main Duties
1.Operate and control crushers and related equipment to crush raw materials into desire sizes and specifications according to production requirements.
2.Monitor operations to ensure efficient and safe processing of materials, optimize production and minimize downtime.
3.Conduct regular inspections of crushers and associated equipment to identify and address any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
4.Maintain accurate records of crusher operations, including production outputs, material specifications, equipment maintenance activities and safety inspections.
5.Prepare reports and documentation as required by company policies and regulatory requirements.
6.Ensure full availability and utilization of the weighbridge.
7.Ensure all trucks are recorded when empty and loaded, and automatically saved in the weighbridge online data system (mizani)
8.Ensure all your work environment is always clean.
9.Ensure Integration between mizani and EAM is done, by entering valid P.O number and Delivery note number during reception of Quarry rawm aterials.
10.In-depth knowledge of mining operations, production, maintenance, process control and health and safety management
11.Adhere to all safety protocols, follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries,and environmental incidents. Report any safety hazards, incidents or near misses to management.
12.Ensure OSHA compliance with the company and statutory requirements.
13.Compliance to HC Group Code of Business Conduct, Compliance Polices and Guidelines
14.Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Minimum Requirements (Qualifications)
1.Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
2.Proficiency in computer-aided design software and other mining-related software is essential for planning and designing mining operations.
3.Familiarity with health and safety regulations and practices in manufacturing is advantageous.
