Job Title: Business Development and Client Service Officer
Department: Commercial
Work Station: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Job Overview:
A Fintech operating in Dar es salaam, Tanzania is looking for a passionate self-driven Business Development and client service officer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining and enhancing relationship with existing clients and ensuring exceptional service delivery. They will be expected to drive growth and expand the business.
The person should have a good experience in sales, client relationship management, and a passion for driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation and Sales: Generate leads through various channels (networking, cold calling,
email campaigns, etc.), Conduct meetings Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed sales
targets. - Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
to ensure high levels of satisfaction and serve as the main point of contact for clients, addressing
their needs and concerns promptly - Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service by resolving client issues and inquiries
through offering solutions and guidance to clients. - Sales strategy: Analyze potential opportunities and develop business plans to ensure that all
the business development opportunities are optimized. - Market Research: Accountable for market analysis, monitoring the business sales and activity
planning in line with the approved budget. - Risk and Compliance: Work closely with Head of Risk and compliance to identify and mitigate
commercial risks across all areas of the business. - Stakeholders Management: Establish partnerships with key stakeholders for effective business
relationships and networks within industry and other relate sectors. - High Performance team: Building a high performing sales team to execute end to end sales including outreach, pitching, getting alignment, negotiation, closing deals and implementation.
- Collaboration and Coordination Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing,
operations, product development) to ensure a cohesive approach to business development and
client service. - Reporting and feedback: Track and report on business development activities, Return on investment, client interactions, and sales performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management.
- Experience in working with eCash and remittance companies.
- Experience in the banking or mobile money industry will be added advantage.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, strategies, and best practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence
stakeholders at all levels. - Ability to analyze market trends, client feedback, and sales data to inform strategies.
- Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
